Brick Gothic at its best
The Chancery in Leeuwarden was built between 1566 and 1571 and is considered one of the best-preserved examples of secular Brick Gothic in the Northern Netherlands. The imposing building with its stepped gables, ornate pinnacles, and richly decorated facade once served as the administrative center of the Habsburg Chancery in Friesland.
On the back of this black-and-white postcard, you'll find a historical fact about the Chancery. A card that takes you back to the 16th century.
