CONCEPT ART

Overview
As part of the marketing team, I collaborated closely with the game development team to create early promotional materials for a looter-shooter game aimed at hardcore competitive gamers. My contributions included photo-bashing and original concept art illustrations, as well as icons and presentation desgin (more here) which helped shape the game’s initial visual identity.
Objective
The goal was to develop eye-catching visuals for use on social media, websites, trade shows, and expos, as well as materials to support pitches for sponsorship, partnerships, and investment opportunities.
Challenges and Solutions
The early development phase presented challenges due to limited guidelines and an evolving art direction. However, by cooperating with the game dev team and remaining flexible, I was able to create visuals that aligned with the marketing goals while adapting to the project’s ongoing development. My focus was on ensuring the concept art reflected the game’s atmosphere and appeal to the target audience.
Results
The concept art was successfully integrated into various promotional platforms and received positive feedback from the target audience. It also played a supportive role in the game’s pitches to sponsors and investors, helping to generate early interest in the project.
Tools and Techniques
I primarily used Photoshop for photo-bashing and creating original illustrations, working closely with both the marketing and game development teams to produce visuals that supported the overall promotional strategy. This approach ensured the concept art met the project’s creative and strategic needs.
